The Ritron QuickTalk™ RQT is an industrial-grade, radio transmitter with switch inputs and voice storage capability. It is compatible with virtually any other business-band 2-way radio, the radio can even be programmed to operate with radio repeaters. Typical uses include the following:

  • Call Button/Panic Alarm –A stainless steel push button assembly (p/n #RPB-1AG), connected to the QuickTalk provides an effective push button alerting solution.
  • Door Alarm –A magnetic door switch connected to a QuickTalk transmitter allows easy monitoring of open doors, windows, tool cribs, etc.
  • Power ON/Fail Alarm –With the Power-Out Alert connected to a QuickTalk, it can detect a loss of AC power and immediately trigger the QuickTalk to send an alert.
  • Temperature Alert –This device connected to a QuickTalk lets you monitor and receive voice alerts for pre-set high or low temperatures.
  • Liquid Level –Monitor liquid levels. A simple marine grade liquid level switch connected to a QuickTalk can help provide and early warning alert for both high and low level conditions.
  • Wireless Shopper Callbox –The RQA offers the same basic voice-alerting features and battery powered operation as the RQT, with the exception that it is a turn-key package complete with “How Can We Help” label, red push button, and LED transmit indicator.

One (1) Ritron RQT-152-RCVR VHF MURS, License-Free (150-165Mhz) 2 Watt High Power QuickTalk Transmitter Including Flex Antenna. This unit does not include Optional KEYFOBs which are ordered separately. This also includes the RPS-EXPO 110VAC Adapter because all RCVR models require external power.

Connect virtually any type of switch or sensor (up to 4) to the RQT switch input(s), and record a unique voice message for each of the 4 switches. When any of the switches change state your pre-recorded voice message will instantly be transmitted to all radio-equipped personnel. Each input can be programmed to transmit on a different frequency. For extended range use the optional RAM-1545 antenna. The RQT radio even works with radio repeaters.

The gasketed and sealed, polycarbonate enclosure offers built-in mounting flanges. The RQT radio can operate stand-alone on 6 AA batteries. It can also be powered externally by an optional 110V AC adaptor (# RPX-Expo).

The RQT is available with a 2Watt transmitter or a 120mWatt transmitter.

RQT Range/Coverage Estimates: 120mWatt model - ¼ mile line-of-sight, no obstructions or 100,000sq. ft*. 2 Watt model - 1 mile line-of-sight, no obstructions or 200,000 sq ft.* *Range depends on building structure and topography.

Available frequency bands are: VHF frequency band (150-165MHz) VHF License-Free MURS (5 pre-selected MURS) UHF frequency band (450-470MHz) The Quick Talk will operate for approximately 7,000 transmissions when operating on batteries. Sample duty cycle of 1 transmission (5 seconds in length) per hour, 24 hours per day, 5 days per week. Fewer transmissions will extend battery life.

KEYFOB Activation Feature The standard QuickTalk transmitter can be factory ordered with a special KEYFOB receiver installed. A QuickTalk equipped with the special KEYFOB receiver can now discretely activate any of the QuickTalk's switch inputs using a companion KEYFOB. Once activated, the will transmit the appropriate voice message to all radio-equipped personnel.

KEYFOB Range/Coverage Estimates: KEYFOB transmitter to a QuickTalk equipped with special KEYFOB receiver - Approximately 200 feet*

*Range depends on building structure and topography. See above for the RQT range/coverage distances. Ritron PC programming software CD and USB cable permits custom programming of all RQT attributes.

Note:

  • RQT-xxx-RCVR models do NOT include KEYFOBs. You must order KEYFOBs separately
  • RQT-xxx-RCVR models - If programmed for KEYFOB activation the input CANNOT also be activated by any other switch
  • RQT-xxx-RCVR models - If programmed for KEYFOB activation, each input will support up to two unique KEYFOB codes e.g. Input 1
will support KEYFOB 1 and KEYFOB 2; Input 2 will support KEYFOB 3 and KEYFOB 4 and so on up to a maximum of 8 unique KEYFOB codes,
each supporting a unique voice message
  • A single KEYFOB Input can support multiple “same-code” KEYFOBs
  • Notice: System Engineering Responsibilities (See complete note in front of price book) System designer must carefully consider a number of factors when constructing a system. A few of these factors include: Duty Cycle, Service Level Requirements, Range and Number of KEYFOBs that will be transmitting

    Ritron Quicktalk/Wireless Alert

    • 4C
    • 4 Inputs
    • Narrowband (N) - 12.5kHz

It's like being in two places at once!

The Quick Talk is a one-way radio transmitter. It requires no boring, trenching, or external power. A single set of 6 AA Alkaline batteries powers the Quick Talk for nearly one year, or approximately 12,000 transmissions.

When you need real time status and you can't be everywhere at the same time, you need the Quick Talk Voice Alerting Transmitter.

How does it work? Connect any contact closure/switch to the Quick Talk. Record your "custom" message in any language. When the switch changes status, the recorded message is automatically transmitted via radio to all your two-way radio equipped personnel.

Note for RQT-XXX -RCVR Model Only:

  • All RQT-xxx-RCVR models require external power to run that particular add-on (The Installed Key Fob Receiver Board)
  • RQT-xxx-RCVR models do NOT include KEYFOBs. You must order KEYFOBs separately.
  • RQT-xxx-RCVR models - If programmed for KEYFOB activation the input CANNOT also be activated by any other switch.
A few of these factors include: Duty Cycle, Service Level Requirements, Range and Number of KEYFOBs that will be transmitting to a device etc.
